The Register of Merit and Excellence Awards

The Register of Merit (ROM) and Register of Merit Excellent (ROMX) Awards have been established to recognize a sire or dam’s outstanding contribution to the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever breed in Canada through the accomplishments of their offspring.

Approved ROM and ROMX applicants will receive a congratulatory letter and certificate from the NSDTR Club of Canada recognizing their accomplishment, and will be recognized in Toller Talk as well as the official Club web site.

In 2010 a program was implemented by the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada to promote and recognize outstanding accomplishments of Tollers and their offspring. To honour these individual owners and their Tollers, a special Register of Merit and Register of Merit Excellent certificate has been awarded to the following dogs by the NSDTR Club of Canada.

These are one-time awards which must be applied for by the owner or breeder of the stud dog or bitch. All applicants must be a member in good standing of the NSDTR Club of Canada for at least one year before an application is made. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide all required documentation.

The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is fortunate that it doesn’t require a large rescue organization in Canada. Occasionally Tollers need a little help out of unfortunate situations.
